News and notes for Northwestern
Just wanted to post some news on the CMU football team prior to tomorrow's game with the Wildcats.
-Dannie Bolden has been suspended by the team for a violation of team rules. His return to the field will be determined on a week-to-week basis.
-Both Jake Olson and LaVarus Williams are out for the game with knee injuries. The severity of both injuries is not known. Rocky Weaver will start at left tackle while Eric Fisher will start at right tackle. Jeff Maddux and Darren Keyton will start at the guard spots. With Williams out, CMU has depth concerns at CB.
-I will once again be hosting a live chat during the game starting at 11:45 ET. Feel free to join me right here on the blog.

Three leave CMU football program
Freshman linebacker Nores Fradi along with walk-on players Zach Wiersma and Matt Maletzke are no longer members of the CMU football program.
The loss of Fradi is a big one as he was a promising linebacker and just a true freshman. It is unknown why Fradi decided to leave, but he was one of the highest-rated recruits in the 2010 class. Fradi was an all-state selection while at Dearborn High School. He entered fall camp 6-0, 210-pounds.
Maletzke, a 6-1, 231-pound defensive lineman was a sophomore in eligibility and had seen the field one time in his career, against Alcorn State in 2009.
Wiersma, a 6-4, 275-pound offensive lineman was entering his redshirt freshman season after not seeing the field during his true freshman season.
